Ferrari’s LaFerrari paired a 6.3-litre naturally aspirated V12 with HY-KERS electric assistance in a carbonfibre, rear-drive two-seat coupe. The 499-car halo model brought Formula 1-derived hybrid know-how to Ferrari’s limited-series flagship, combining active aerodynamics, a fixed-seat cockpit and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Research sources
Ferrari’s archive specifies the 6,262 cc V12, HY-KERS system, 7-speed DCT and 499 examples, but publishes output in CV and acceleration only as 0–100 km/h; neither has been converted. The 950 bhp figure is Autocar’s explicitly published combined output. The exact 2.5-second 0–60 mph value is Car and Driver’s published instrumented result; its test notes Fiorano’s one-direction, slightly downhill straight, so it is retained as a source-specific test figure rather than a manufacturer claim. ‘Automatic’ normalizes the documented seven-speed dual-clutch automatic; ‘Hybrid’ normalizes the petrol-electric HY-KERS powertrain. ‘special_edition’ is false because this is the standard closed LaFerrari specification, notwithstanding its 499-unit limited production.
